Not much poker the last week
Haven't played all that much since my last post. I'm up over 4 buy-ins though in the few hands I have played. Went to a concert last Wednesday night (Breaking Benjamin), so I didn't play the next day or so since I was pretty tired.
And I also didn't play much this weekend either. We had some friends from Colorado stay at our house for the holiday weekend.
The only poker I played, was for about a half an hour on Monday to show him what this online poker thing is all about. And in that half an hour, I won $280. Ding! He was quite amazed at how easy this poker thing looks. Ha!
Here are the two big hands that I played.
I decide to just complete with my pocket 7's from the SB. Most of the time I raise here with Pocket Pairs, but I sometime just complete with the smaller PPs. BB, who is a decent regular, raises it up. The other limper calls, and I make the easy call. The rest is pretty standard I think, but I suppose another good line to take would be to lead out on that flop and go for a Bet-3Bet.
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players -
Hero (SB): $109.15
BB: $103.00

CO: $66.00
BTN: $111.85
Preflop: Hero is dealt [7s] [7c] (6 Players)
2 folds, CO calls $1.00, BTN folds, Hero calls $0.50, BB raises to $4.00, CO calls $3.00, Hero calls $3.00
Flop: ($12) [Ks] [7h] [6d] (3 Players)
Hero checks, BB bets $9.00, CO folds, Hero raises to $27.00, BB calls $18.00
Turn: ($66) [Td] (2 Players)
Hero bets all-in for $78.15, BB calls all-in for $72.00
Uncalled bet of $6.15 returned to Hero
River: ($210) [Js] (2 Players - 2 All-In)
Pot Size: $210.00 ($3 Rake)
BB had [As] [Ac] (a pair of Aces) and LOST (-$103.00)
Hero had [7s] [7c] (three of a kind, Sevens) and WON (+$104.00)

Then the other big hand was this one. the button was really bad, and I was trying to play as many pots with him as possible. He was running at about 75/20. Not too much of a read on UTG, but he was running about 25/11 or so.
Both these guys played it really bad. For one, UTG raises way to little. I definitely have odds to call and hit my straight, especially when you consider the button is going to call too. And then he checks on the turn. Huh? I have no idea what he had.
What do you think of my turn play? Just push it all in (I have 78 left and the pot has 103 left in it)? Or is what I did good too? I was really hoping UTG would come along too, especially with him raising on the flop. Button has AK. LOL
Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players -

BB: $180.00
UTG: $100.40

Preflop: Hero is dealt [Kc] [Qc] (6 Players)
UTG calls $1.00, Hero raises to $4.50, CO folds, BTN calls $4.50, 2 folds, UTG calls $3.50
Flop: ($15) [Jc] [Ts] [7d] (3 Players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $11.00, BTN calls $11.00, UTG raises to $29.50, Hero calls $18.50, BTN calls $18.50
Turn: ($103.50) [9s] (3 Players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $45.00, BTN raises all-in to $162.75, UTG folds, Hero calls all-in for $33.00
Uncalled bet of $84.75 returned to BTN
River: ($259.50) [7s] (2 Players - 2 All-In)

There you have it. I am having Poker withdrawal, so I one of these next few night I'm going to put in a big session.
Cheers!
